Shamva Agricultural College is under the Ministry of Lands, Agriculture, Fisheries, Water and Rural Development through the Department of Agricultural Education.
Institutional profile and location details.
The college was established in August 2011 and is located in a hot-climate farming region with an annual rainfall regime of around 800 mm. It is temporarily operating at SOS Children's Villages, 14 km from Bindura along Shamva Road.
The permanent 780-hectare farm is Panmure, situated 7 km north-east of Shamva town. Plans to establish permanent college structures on this farm are underway.
The college offers a three-year Diploma in Agriculture and a range of short agricultural courses under the AE4D 5.0 curriculum, with focus on innovation and entrepreneurship.
